What does meditation mean?
Meditation is an exploration into unknown realms hiding within, in order to reveal our true self akin to harvesting a pearl by diving into the ocean.
Most humans have a strong identity. We identify completely with our body/Mind/belief systems/judgments and values fed by society. It seems unfathomable for the mind to exist without an identity. The very nature of the mind is to identify; however the undeniable truth is that this body is after all, only an accumulation of all the food that you eat and the mind is simply a consolidation of all the impressions received from the five sensory organs.
Transcending the illusion of ‘I’ is extremely important to increase awareness. Meditation is a method of examining the self. Through consistent practice it becomes possible to transcend one’s identity and reunite with the singular consciousness.
This state of oneness is called as liberation (பிறவியிலா பெருவாழ்வு).
This state can also be termed as a state of No-Mind.
There are several methods of meditation such as Kundalini Yogam, Vaasi Yogam, Kriya Yogam, Navakanda Yogam, Siddha Viddhai (to name a few). Here at Paramporul Foundation, Mahavishnu under the grace of his Guru offers a very powerful meditation technique known as “Paramporul Yogam”. Paramporul means the fundamental being/material/truth that pervades the entire creation and “Paramporul Yogam” as its name suggests, is a method which allows you to experience ‘Paramporul’ and inturn attain liberation.
